 What: The Spain Park Wrestling Camp is based on instruction in the fundamentals of takedowns, rides, turns, and escapes. Two Wrestlers Medal at State

Manny Allan (195) placed third and Jack Rivers (106) fourth at the AHSAA State Wrestling championships.  Manny had three decisions and Jack a pin and a decision.  Additionally, Jaxon Bast (220) had a pin.

Jaguar Wrestlers Qualify for State Tournament

On Friday and Saturday, the Spain Park wrestling team competed in the South Super Sectionals Tournament, qualifying three wrestlers for the State tournament.  The qualifiers are Jack Rivers (106 lbs.), Manny Allan (195), and Jaxton Bast (220). Jag Wrestlers Split at Tri-match

On Thursday night, the Spain Park wrestlers hosted Brookwood HS and Mountain Brook HS in a tri-match.  Mountain Brook opened the action with a 76-6 win over Brookwood.  In the second match, Spain Park defeated Brookwood 44-9.  The final match saw the Spartans defeat the Jags 58-18. Wrestlers Selling Valentine’s Day Flowers

The wrestling team will be in the cafeteria each day from February 1st until February 8th during lunch period, selling flowers for Valentine’s Day.  They will be taking orders for the flowers which will be delivered on Valentine’s Day.
