State Wrestling Championships – All Three Qualifiers Medal

On Thursday night the Spain Park wrestling team traveled to Oxford to compete in a tri-match with Oxford and Weaver High Schools.  The Jags opened with a 57-12 win over Weaver, winning all but three weight classes. Wrestlers Defeat Mountain Brook

Wednesday was Senior Night for the Spain Park wrestlers.  They honored Caelan March and Jack Rivers. Senior Caelan March is a four-year letterman on the wrestling team and has competed in the 132 weight class for the past two seasons.  He has had a successful senior year having won Tournament Champion honors at the Austin Hammer

On Friday and Saturday the Spain Park Wrestlers competed in the Heart of Dixie Tournament at Vestavia Hills High School.  The tournament drew top teams from Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina. On Friday and Saturday the Spain Park wrestling team competed in the Smoky Mountain Duals in Seviervill, TN.  The competition included 27 of the best teams from Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, and Florida. Wrestlers Place Third with Four Tournament Champions

On Friday and Saturday, the Spain Park wrestlers traveled to Moody to compete in the Moody Invitational – Austin Hamer Memorial Tournament.  The Jags placed third with four tournament champions and three third place individual winners.
