JV Wrestlers Crown Five Champions at Buc Brawl

On Thursday and Friday, the Spain Park wrestling team competed in the Pigeon Forge Duals.  The Duals included some of the top teams from Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, and Alabama, with the Jags being the only Alabama team. Wrestlers at Trojan Wars

The Spain Park wrestling team travelled to Carrollton, GA to compete in the Trojan Wars.  The Jags opened pool competition with a 52-27 win over Calhoun, GA HS.  In the second match Spain Park defeated Kennesaw Mountain, GA HS 45-33.  The third match did not go as well with a 57-19 loss to Carrollton HS,

The Spain Park wrestling team started out strong against Vestavia Hills with Jack Rivers (120lb), Caelan March (126), Emmanuel Thou (132), and Gaven Pudlik (138) all scoring pins.  Dylan Adair added a major decision at 145 lbs. to make the score 28-12.  Then Vestavia Hills came back at the heavier weights with Sam Willoughby (152),

Spain Park Jaguar Wrestlers Place Third at Jonathan Harris Duals

  On Tuesday the Spain Park wrestling team competed in the Jonathan Harris Duals at Moody High School.  The Jags opened pool competition with a 66-15 win over Holtville HS.  In the second round, they defeated Oak Grove HS 60-6.  The final match in pool competition saw the Jags defeating the home team, Moody, 48-31.

Blue and Black Wrestleoffs

Come out and support your wrestling team. Thursday evening,the 16th, will be the Blue and Black Wrestleoffs to determine the starting lineup for the varsity wrestling team.  We will begin at 5:00. All students admitted by their IDs.
